Con Artist of the Day: Woman Sued after Faking Cancer to Support Her Drug Habit

The 21-year-old Long Island resident Brittany Ozarowski faked several forms of cancer for an entire year to support her heroin addiction. According to Suffolk County's District Attorney Thomas Spota, Ozarowski collected thousands of dollars in donations to help pay for bogus medical bills by setting up a website and giving a detailed account of her 100% made-up tearjerker story. Ozarowski was arrested last week while soliciting shoppers outside of a grocery store and has been indicted on charges of grand larceny, forgery and scheme to defraud.
