These spiral galaxies, known as NGC 2207 (left) and IC 2163 (right) are about 80 million light years away from us. And they are on a collision course with each other. A few billion years from now, that is. A galactic collision isn't exactly what you might think as there is so much space inside of these galaxies that, once they fully collide, none of their respective stars will make contact.
