Pitbulls have had quite the bad rap in recent history for supposedly being more "aggressive" than other dog breeds. Of course, this reputation is completely unwarranted, but many people still believe that pitbulls are a danger to society and that they need to be eliminated from the face of the earth at all cost. Thus, the Twitter hashtag #PitbullDropOff was born, which people are using to tell others that they've adopted a pitbull just to have it put down and therefore "protect" society. Needless to say, the whole thing is extremely messed up.
