Idiot of the Day: Texting Driver Learns the Hard Way That Texting and Driving is a Terrible Idea

The footage above was captured by the dashboard camera of a Fort Myers Police Department vehicle.

Officer Ivan Moorer followed this guy a short distance down Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard before he decided to make a turn onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The subsequent consequence was caught on Moorer's dash cam.

Luckily for the driver, he managed to walk away uninjured.
