The Walking Dead's New Characters and Rick's Wandering Hands
The Walking Dead is taking over Entertainment Weekly. Regular cast members, and total bad asses, Rick, Carol and Daryl grace the cover this week, and some new faces grace the pages of the magazine.
Take a peek at the coverage, and really get to know the new zombie bait that'll be in season six this fall.
Entertainment Weekly's Walking Dead Cover
Merritt Wever as Dr. Denise CloydWever is best known from her role on Nurse Jackie, and a recurring role on New Girl. In season six of The Walking Dead, she plays Denise Cloyd, Alexandria's resident doctor, and another comic book character come to life.
Corey Hawkins as HeathIn addition to Denise, another Alexandrian from the comics is set to debut in season six. Corey Hawkins from the upcoming Straight Outta Compton will be playing Heath, who is romantically linked to Denise, and a supply runner. Hopefully he'll be nicer to Glenn than the last supply guys.
Ethan Embry as CarterRounding Out the new cast is cult actor, Ethan Embry (Empire Records, Can't Hardly Wait). He's playing Alexandrian resident, Carter, an amalgam of several characters from the comic. He wasn't in season five, but his absence appears to be something they'll deal with in the new season.
"Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven't hit yet or weren't able to hit in other characters. He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy."If you saw the Comic-Con trailer, you might already know that he and Rick don't seem to get along too well. He and Morgan don't appear to agree with Rick's new found ruthlessness.
Rick needs to be careful in Alexandria this year. It may seem idyllic, but you never know what's going on behind-the-scenes.
