When a South African man was kidnapped and stuffed into the trunk of a car Sunday, quick thinking by his better half saved his life. The man managed to send a text to his girlfriend, Lynn Peters, who promptly posted a plea for help on Twitter: "Be on the look for DSS041GP my boyufriend [sic] has just been hijacked and is in the boot please RT." Her tweet found its way to Pigspotter, the Twitter home of a roadblock notification service in Johannesburg with over 110,000 followers, and after a Twitter-coordinated search, private security forces recovered the car -- and Peters' boyfriend.
