Colorado Shooting News of the Day

An anonymous Colorado law enforcement official is reporting -- despite a gag order -- that James Holmes, the suspect in Friday's deadly shooting, sent a notebook to a psychiatrist at the University of Colorado prior to the massacre that was "full of details about how he was going to kill people." The official says the notebook was sitting in a university mailroom for almost two weeks:

Inside the package was a notebook full of details about how he was going to kill people… There were drawings of what he was going to do in it — drawings and illustrations of the massacre. Among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebook's pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figures.

The notebook reportedly is in the hands of the FBI, which is refusing to comment under the gag order. [mediaite]
