Ridic Movie Premise of the Day

At last, the news we've been waiting for -- Beached, a movie that "centers on a chubby 4-year-old child who falls overboard during a family outing, is raised by whales and goes on to become an Olympic swimmer," has gotten the green light.

The premise was first floated by an Ocean's 11 writer in 1997, and languished (rightfully so) for 15 years until National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub signed on to develop and direct.

Seeing as how Turteltaub masterminded Cool Runnings, this can't be all bad... right?
