Entertaining Theory Suggests Phineas and Ferb Were Money Launderers

Disney's Phineas and Ferb was a very popular show that some of us (namely millennials) probably missed the boat on. The musical comedy series followed the stepbrothers mostly-unrealistic adventures during summer vacation. We're talking large scale construction projects and battling their sister Candace, who almost always tries to expose their antics to their mother. The show followed this formula starting from its first episode in 2007, until the series finale almost seven years ago in 2015. Though most people take shows like Phineas and Ferb at face value, one conspiratorial Twitter user by the name @IHATEUSNOW has posed the theory that the program is actually about money laundering. And it's gone viral.

@IHATEUSNOW suggests that the only reason the dynamic duo had enough funds for their experiments is because the silent Ferb was actually a scammer mastermind, and that he was using the fireside girls for both entertainment and money-laundering purposes.

The theory posits that Phineas was aware of all this, and used the duo's science experiments to boost community morale and reduce the chances of neighbors snitching on their schemes.

@IHATEUSNOW also suggests that Candace is a fellow thief, which is why she is always so eager to snitch - and why Phineas and Ferb consistently exclude her from their projects. The conspiracy theory doesn't stop there. To tie everything together, it's suggested that the reason the parents are always absent is because they are actually in on the whole thing.

The theory ends there. But that didn't stop others from sharing their opinions on the theory, and even other conspiracies - some of them decidedly more depressing.

Disney has yet to comment on the viral thread. Which can only mean one thing: They're hiding something. But as long as seemingly stoned Twitter users are on the case, someone will get to the bottom of it.
