How do I even logic?

Am I the only one who wondered why, after the show so carefully established the difference between Pinkie's consideration for her friends and the Mirror Pinkies' lack thereof, why on earth did the test have nothing to do with that? But on the other hand, we got G1 Pinkie face and Lyra hand jokes out of it, so I guess it's a wash.
