Pumpkins and squash offer a good source of vitamins and minerals to the farm animals at Hooves and Feathers Humane Society, and straw bales provide warm shelter in the winter.

All unpainted decor (yes, even carved jack-o'-lanterns are accepted) can be donated to the Hooves and Feathers front gate located at 2551 Cunningham Road in Knoxville from now until November 30.
The shelter asks that those leaving donations provide a note containing their name, phone number, and mailing address so they can receive a thank you card from the pigs.
