Oh Sweet Irony of the Day: Banksy Graffiti Selling For $500,000

This week, world-renowned street artist Banksy's mural installation turned up in a catalog for a fine art auction event in Miami, FL (where else?), after it was mysteriously stolen from the side of a discount shop in North London last week. The mural, which depicts a small child sewing bunting with Union Jack flags, was listed with an asking price of $500,000 - $700,000 (USD) and set to be auctioned off on February 23, 2013.

As of Wednesday afternoon, a stenciled image of a figure stealing a heart with the text "Danger Thieves" has gone up next to the space where the Banksy mural once was.
