Marvel Giving Away 700 First-Issue Digital Comics for Free

As a follow-up to its media blitz at the SXSW Gaming Expo this past weekend, Marvel is now offering more than 700 first issues from the digital library (normally priced between $1.99 and $3.99) as free downloads via mobile apps and the online store to promote its digital comics service. You might have to wait for the right timing though; many fans are tweeting that the servers for both the mobile and desktop sites are overloaded. Just remember, the promotion ends at 11 p.m. EST March 12.
