You know all those exciting Anthony Bourdain travel shows? Where he really takes a bite out of the culture - food and otherwise? Karl Pilkington of An Idiot Abroad is pretty much the opposite of the late Bourdain in every way. Where Bourdain leaps, Pilkington hesitates. Where Bourdain gushes, Pilkington whines. Fortunately for us viewers, the contrast doesn't make the program any less entertaining. The show is a riotously funny, mainly due to Pilkington's less than stoked demeanor - and his strangely sage and very funny quotes.
