Yikes! One couple in Tuolumne County, California, had quite a wild day! Edward and wife Kathy Sudduth were watching TV when they heard a loud bang from within their home. The couple believe the home invader was after their neighbor's cat, who found shelter but the more dangerous cat was still there -- in their living room.
According to FOX40, The mountain lion actually ran into Kathy, and it took her a moment to realize what had just happened.
"We thought it was a dog," Kathy told FOX40.
"His tail was pretty close to me so I just 'thwipped' it a little bit like that," Edward added.
The noise and touch the couples made sent the invader running into the bathroom, where it locked itself inside!
Edward and Kathy barricaded themselves in a room and immediately dialed 911 for some assistance.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife and Tuolumne County (DFW) sheriff's deputies came to help out.
And with permission from the Sudduth's, the deputies broke the bathroom window and watched as the mountain lion leaped out.
And while this is definitely quite the experience for the Sudduth's, they would prefer to keep it a memory. Edward jokes, "Won't leave the door open anymore."
