There's Nothing Unfortunate About This Fake Lemony Snicket Trailer

Over the weekend, Eleanora Poe uploaded this trailer, which is clearly meant to be a teaser for Netflix's upcoming Series of Unfortunate Events show. 

It ran through the Internet due to it's spot-on atmosphere and intriguing hints at that titular series of events seen as unfortunate.

However, Entertainment Weekly found out from Netflix that the trailer was not made by the streaming giant.

So we're left with conflicting emotions here. On the one hand, this is a strikingly good fan-made trailer that really encapsulates the feel that made Lemony Snicket's books (and the movie) work so well.

On the other hand, since Netflix didn't make it, there's not telling how they will envision the show as of yet.

Let's hope Netflix doesn't squish our hopes for the show much like this poor, hopeless arachnid:
