Louisiana author Diana Rowland spins tales of urban fantasy and Sci-Fi. While she's been published for nearly two decades, she's also worked "as a bartender, a blackjack dealer, a pit boss, a street cop, a detective, a computer forensics specialist, a crime scene investigator, and a morgue assistant." It's no surprise, then, that her Christmas decorations reflect her colorful past. While some people opt for sweet nativity scenes or light-up reindeer, Rowland prefers something a little more fantastical grace her grassy lawn. Dragons.
Dragons seem to be pretty en vogue at the moment, thanks, undoubtedly to shows like Game of Thrones. Unfortunately for Rowland, it would seem that dragon-mania seems to have skipped her corner of Mandeville, LA. After putting up her display for the holiday, she received a very judgmental and very capitalized email from an anonymous neighbor. The note claims that the display is "only marginally acceptable at Halloween," and "totally inappropriate at Christmas." The note-writer goes on to say the neighbors are wondering if her family belongs to a demonic cult. Rowland used her classic sense of humor and gifted the note to Facebook and Twitter. People instantly sprang to her support, and even more so - the support of her dragons. Take it all in below.
