Woman Takes Grandma to Airport with Overweight Luggage, Finds Entire Sewing Machine & Other Ridiculous Items Packed

Listen, we all love our grandma, nona, nana, meemas, or whatever you call your grandmother (grandmama?), they're adorable and we love them. Unless you have some deep rooted family issues that are being carried on by your grandma, they are the sweetest woman in the family. They're not your mom, so they don't push you around, but they're not like a distant cousin or something, so they're still somewhat a parental figure. Their old age adds to their adorableness and the way they conduct basic societal actions in the most outdated way is simply adorable. (Unless it's something like sexism or racism, but that's an entirely different subject than what we're talking about here…

TikToker Natalie Parsi recently posted a video talking about her sweet grandma, Jan. As a good grand daughter, Parsi drove her grandma to the airport one day. Her grandma had one carry-on and two checked bags. Parsi noticed that the two checked bags looked a little over the weight limit, but she's no scale, so she let it slide. Of course we she got to the airport, the bags were each over the weight limit.

She told her grandma she had to take some things out of the bags in order to check them, so she started taking some clothes out. She told her grandma that the clothes weren't going to do it, she needed to take heavier things out. So her grandma started pulling out the most ridiculous things that she packed. The first thing was an entire sewing machine.

The sewing machine was enough to bring the one bag to the allowed weight limit, but the the second had to be lightened. So her grandma pulled out an entire silver platter, a fancy one I might add. And then a towel that was wrapped around a collection of brand new kitchen knives. So now, Parsi was standing in the middle of an airport with a sewing machine, silver platter, and collection of knives.

She was able to leave the airport with all the items and her grandmother was able to catch her flight, but boy what a day for the grand daughter. What do you say to a sweet old lady when this happens? You just let it slide. And say, “don't worry grandma, this makes total sense. I'll take your heavy items back home…” Aren't grandmas a hoot?
