'Man of Tungsten Carbide' Isn't quite as catchy
Hardened steel is 7 on the mohs scale of hardness, while tungsten carbide rates 9-9.5 on the mohs scale. Because Mohs is a logarithmic scale, 9 is 100 times stronger than 7. Diamond rates 10, so Tungsten Carbide is also 10% as strong as a diamond.
