Unless you've been living under a rock the past 24 hours, you've probably heard that actor Ben Affleck has been cast as the new Dark Knight in the 2015 Batman-Superman crossover sequel to Man of Steel. After Warner Bros' broke the news yesterday, the Internet immediately reacted to the news with photoshopped images of Affleck with friend Matt Damon as Batman and Robin, a petition asking Warner Brothers to remove him from the cast and even spiteful hashtags like #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck on Twitter. But not everyone's getting worked up about it, as some have urged the naysayers to hold off their judgment until the movie comes out, reminding previous "dark horse" castings like Michael Keaton as Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker.
