"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." Is your pup the next Toto? One lucky pup out there will be a star on the new theater production in Lincoln, England! They are, however, rather quite large paws to fill. The iconic Toto was played by Terry, a female Cairn Terrier, who starred in 16 different films but is known for her famous role in 'The Wizard of Oz'.

in Lincoln, England, the New Theatre Royal theatre is holding auditions for that special pooch that will be able to look up at Dorothy, adoringly, as she sings the iconic 'Over the Rainbow.'
The artistic director, Natalie Hayes-Cowley, has a few guidelines for the pooch they're seeking, saying those auditioning need to be small, obedient, and not bark at the audience or during the any of the musical numbers.
The pup will also have to cope with the sound effects and stage lighting. Ms. Hayes-Cowley told BBC, "Dogs are like children and can be unpredictable... so, we will test the water to see how they cope with the different sounds."
Ms. Hayes-Cowley does specify that the main thing is to see the dog with Dorothy as she sings.
As part of the auditions - which take place this Sunday, March 24th - the performing pooches will have to sit with Dorothy, played by Sophie Towns, while she sings.
Good luck to all the good bois and girls trying out for the role!
