Text - michiganwallflower 4d I was selectively mute as a child and extremely attached to my brother who was six years older than me. We were riding on the bus one day and the kid in front of us was apparently an acquaintance of my brother's. They were about fourteen, so I must've been seven or eight. He loudly gossiped to my brother (who did not appreciate it at all, and was mostly focused on me because he could see how nervous I was around other people) and casually dropped the f-bomb. I really

Text - CatandBones 4d When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer at 5, my older brother arranged this elaborate treasure hunt for her that went all around town. He spent a lot of time and money making an authentic looking 'old map, creating a back story (lost princess treasure), collecting old jewelry and things that looked like they really were in buried treasure, etc. They had to 'find clues and landmarks'. This was years ago and she is cancer free now, but to this day, her and I both remember

Text - JayBrd 4d I was 17 and sitting in English class when the teacher got a phone call. She hung up and then said "OK JayBrd, you can go". I had no idea what she was talking about, but it seemed like the perfect opportunity to leave so I did. I get down to the school's front office to sign-out and my older brother is standing there. He says "Mom forgot to tell you about your dentist appointment" - which I know is bullshit because I had my dentist appt two days earlier. We walk out of the schoo

Text - SilverCityStreet 59d My brother was the one who moved me out of the apartment I had with my ex-husband. He just pulled up, we loaded the boxes and bags as quickly as we could while ex was out of the house. We barely said maybe a word to each other while we were loading up, but we didn't have to. We are total opposites in every avenue of life, but he was there at that moment. 216 violet_8 59d I hope you find happiness in someone else your brothers a good parson for doing that t55

Text - Probably_At_Work_rn 59d After I tried to kill myself, my sister wrote a list of reasons to stay alive and hid it in my coat pocket. I didn't find it for like six months but when I did I was honestly overwhelmed by how sweet it was. I still carry the list in my wallet at all times. We weren't always close. There were even times when I told people I had no siblings; when I was in hospital the reports all said I was an only child. It was only as older teenagers we became friends, so the litt

Text - S4 smokebomb101 15d Yes and no. My twin died a while ago and I inherited his dogs. Most of the time things are normal and I am just me with them. But some times if I am dressed in certain clothes or let me beard get long you can see our lab's face light up when i walk in the room until she smells me. The smell gives me away, but its interesting that her sight sees my brother in me once in a while. They also really miss their dad. 13.7k

Text - autoposting_system 2y My kid sister is sixteen years younger than me. I'm the eldest of four siblings. For whatever reason, I'm closer to her than anybody else. I took her snorkeling when she was ten and for years afterward and it's influenced her entire life. I admire her a great deal. She'ss still getting her PhD and will be the most educated one in our immediate family. She works hard, takes care of herself, and is very smart t4.7k

Text - uwila 1y That my little sister didn't break her arm by accidentally falling off the bunk bed, but rather that she broke her arm when we flung her off of it during a game of King of the Hill (bunkbed) My parents were out at aerobicss class, in a very pre- cell phone age. We just tried to keep her comfortable and waited patiently for them to get home. We did finally tell them last year, and they thought it was hilarious. We kept that secret for close to 30 years. 781 CAboy_Bebop 1y Once you
