June 19th is the day when we honour all things related to the iconic ginger feline, Garfield the cat, who was created by cartoonist Jim Davis and appeared in a cartoon strip on 19th June 1978. The comic strip featuring Garfield is set in Muncie, Indiana and focuses on the typical things that this cat is interested in - obsessive eating, doing absolutely nothing, a great love for lasagne and a distaste of Mondays. Sounds familiar, Hoomans?
