If you've ever worked retail or any customer-facing job, you will have met a customer who was disrespectful, entitled, treated you like an object and made some demand that store policy doesn't actually honor. With their sticky-fingered kids, boorish husbands and shrill battle cry of "the customer is always right" a Karen is a customer service person's personal nightmare. That's why we take extra joy in stories of entitled Karens who park in disabled spots and get tricked by parody customer service accounts.
