Jessica (Imgur user bimbumbim) woke up to the sound of the doggy door opening and closing. All of her dogs were with her in bed. The living creature who entered through the doggy door was certainly a surprise, especially given that it was nighttime. Here is her story.

I let him eat the dog food then he ran into my bedroom and I let him stay while I shoo'd my dogs out. In a few minutes this was him under my bed.

Left food and water out, posted a note about him on my neighborhood board, came back into my bedroom to find he'd switched to this nook.

Later decided I needed post these flyers around my neighborhood. By this time he'd let me bathe him and hold him, he is very sweet.

I decided to house him for now in my bathroom, so I could leave to get ferret food. Came back from Walmart to see him like this (yeah he's sleeping. Hard.)

He laid down next to me when I woke him up.

I let him roam under close supervision and what does this little guy do? Makes a beeline from his special food back to the dog food. I don't know if his owner abandoned him but I can't keep him!

Wow so many amazing helpful comments! I will update more thoroughly later but I'm running late for work now -- I have him in my bathroom for now with kitten kibble but will be getting good food online, and I am changing my flyers to be less descriptive (and yes blurring the # here when I get to my work computer!) He seems older, he has been sleeping eating drinking and pooping not caring for much else. I love all the helpful info, I've never had a ferret. I am still going to see if a good owner comes forward and if one never does I'll look for a good home. Updates to come.
