Wow, somebody like me! I told my husband before we got married that I am NOT a cook! He told me that he wasn't marrying me for my cooking. He kind of does his thing, and I do mine, and every once in a while I surprise him with a good meal! We go out a lot too. And yes, I love to bake. I usually get stuck baking the frosted cookies. Have never found a better recipe than mine! But it's a lot of work. I'm making Ginger cookies this year, my favorite! I'm not having Christmas this year... my 88 year old Mother-in-Law wanted it. Which means, she provides the place, and everyone else does all the cooking! (I'd rather have it at MY place) Nice not to have the mess however. You know, my Mother's maiden name was Cook. She was known as 'Cookie' for years!!

Thanks for the prayers and remembering this day. It's funny some of the things we remember. We traveled a lot when we were kids coz dad had 3 weeks off every July for Caterpillar vacation. Stayed in motels and then started camping in a little trailer. I can has cookie? :) xox

I enjoy hearing about your neighbor, or I should say I like getting mad at him. My dad is doing fine. I'm more concerned about how far the cancer spread, if it did. The doc said they think they caught it in enough time and so far all his catscans and chest X-rays are clear. Thanks for your concern and prayers. xox

Yeah, they're too mean to die! You know, even though everything was up to code, what about your birdhouses and feeding the birds. How was that not up to code? BAH! I can't stand that guy!!! lol

You should report him like he did you and see what they say THEN about all his accusations about your bird feeders. What a boob this guy is. I'd like to shoot him myself! Hee! Oops, I probably shouldn't say that out loud coz some other boob might think I'm going come in with a machine gun screaming incoherently about boobs. lol

So sorry for your loss. He was a beauty. It's still painful I know, even after 5 years. I lost my previous Siamese, Ko-Ko, in 2007. It still makes me sad that I don't have him anymore. He was a very special Meezer. All your cats are gorgeous!!

Wow, that's news to me! I've been pet sitting for 10 years now... give cats insulin shots and everything, and have never heard diabetic cats referred to as sugar cats! Guess it kind of makes sense. You must have a diabetic cat. Do you have to give insulin, or are you treating him/her with special prescription food?

Your Shady looks a lot like my Romeo! You'll have to check out MY 'MyPic's' as well! Romeo is a little older now, a little darker, and a bit overweight! I have him on a diet and he's looking better. If you see the picture of him looking out at the squirrel, that is about how he looks now. You will see a lot of pictures of my Bengal, Roxie, too! She is the spotted one in a lot of my photos. Is your other cat named Sugar or Sugarcat?

My cats have tags on their collars too even though they stay inside. I do remove the bells. Like you, I have saved the collars and tags from the previous kittehs. I hope your daughter enjoys visiting in Maine. That is a much shorter trip than gong to NC.

Wow, sounds like you have a great job! Married? Children? I do pet sitting for a job. Married almost 24 years, no children. Well, I tell people I have two kids and both have long tails and whiskers!! We have Romeo, my Siamese, and Roxie, a Bengal. We must be close to the same age... you might be a tad older. I turned 60 in May. Hubby threw me a big, catered party. It was great!

May your daughter have a safe trip going and coming. I never thought about Christmas collars for the cats. My elderly ladies would probably get upset if I changed their collars anyway. The collars sound cute though.
