NYC's 'Cigarette Roach' Is Lighting Up Twitter

Move over, Pizza Rat! You've got some seriously stiff competition! A few days ago, Twitter user Tom Kretchmar uploaded a video of a cigarette-toting cockroach flirting with a subway grate. The video quickly went viral, gaining over 3.7 million views in as many days. Twitter users were quick to put their own spin on the tweet, making jokes about artsy New York college students, and other animals with a nicotine addiction. Internet Reacts To Angry Short Dude's Misogynistic 'Bagel Boss' Rant

An angry outburst at a Bay Shore, Long Island bagel store has gone viral after a teenage girl recorded 5' Chris Morgan ranting about women, and the way women treat men of his short stature. Morgan behaves aggressively in the video, eventually challenging a bystander to "step outside" with him. The bystander, towering over Morgan, ends up tackling the angry dude, and the video ends. Later, on Instagram Live, the girls behind the viral video explain that Morgan believed the women behind that counter of the bagel store had been smirking at him, and that this impression had caused his unhinged explosion.

People on Twitter and Instagram have been eating this content up, responding with memes and a whole lot of short jokes. It's clear that Morgan has a chip on his vertically challenged shoulder, but his contempt for humanity seems to go beyond women. As seen on Ebaum's World, his Youtube Channel is exactly you'd expect. In now-deleted videos (they violated Youtube's terms of service) he uploads anti-semitic content. In other videos, which you can view below, he refers to women as gold-digging b*tches and gleefully leaves a date without a ride after she says she doesn't want to go home with him.

Jokes and memes aside, people like Chris Morgan need help. But he doesn't see it that way. In an interview with the Daily Mail, he touts himself as Martin Luther King of short people. 'I have a mission. The girls hate me, they don't like me, that's fine,' he added. 'I'm not stopping and the world is going to hear me. I want equality for everybody. ' Good luck, bro.

Popular Youtuber Etika Found Dead In New York City

The NYPD's search for 29 year old Desmond 'Etika' Amofah has come to a tragic end. The New York Police Department confirmed earlier today that a body found in the East River was that of the allegedly troubled Youtuber. The police began searching for the popular live-streamer on June 20th following Amofah's disappearance, and before that, the uploading of a chilling video in which he revealed his suicidal thoughts. Many fans were hopeful that this was a moment of  being "overdramatic," similar to a stunt he had pulled in 2018.Things began taking a less hopeful turn when his belongings were recovered, scattered around the Manhattan Bridge.

Following news of Etika's demise, many peers and fans took to Twitter and Youtube to share their shock, stories of happier times, and to implore people to pay attention to mental health.

If you are struggling with mental illness or suicidal thoughts, remember that help is available. Talk to someone.

This New Book Tells The Incredible Feline Friendship Tales in Old New York

"The Cat Men of Gotham" is a pawsome new book written by Peggy Gavan and provides a historical glimpse into the lives of stray cats living in harsh New York City at the turn of the century. The nineteenth century was a rough time to be a stray cat in New York City. The city's human residents dealt with feline overpopulation by gassing unwanted cats or tossing them in rivers. But a few lucky strays were found by a group of cat men including firemen, cops, athletes, and politicians, who rescued them from the streets and welcomed them into their homes and hearts.

The book is divided into nine sections: seafaring cats, police cats, fire cats, artist/editorial cats, hospitality cats, theatrical cats, civil servant cats, good-luck cats, and lucky cats. Each section provides a collection of short stories, each from different time periods. Gavan artistically balances both factual evidence and heart-warming details to create a book full of engrossing tales of feline-human relations.

Here are some of the heartwarming photos and stories from this new book.

Spoiled Rich Girl Revealing How She Affords NYC Life Will Make You Rage

Refinery29 probably made a bad call with publishing this article in their series entitled Money Diaries, which chronicles how the Millennial woman budgets her "hard-earned" money. In this particular installment, R29 interviews a 21-year-old college student and marketing intern living in New York City who makes $25 per hour and can somehow still afford to have a little extra cash left over after she pays the bills.

Sounds like a pretty typical Millennial life, right? Well sure, until you learn that said marketing intern has rich parents who pay her rent, phone bill and health insurance costs. Needless to say, the internet is absolutely raging about this spoiled rich girl's lavish lifestyle.

A Measles Outbreak Just Hit NYC And Twitter's Rage Over It Is Real

Oh look, a completely preventable disease is on the rise once again, and this time it's reared its ugly face in New York City. Come on, WTF people...it's kind of surreal that in 2019 we're still having to convince some that the measles vaccine is safe, effective and doesn't cause autism. Accordingly, the city of New York will require unvaccinated individuals to get the MMR vaccine or pay a $1,000 fine.

Many outraged individuals have taken to Twitter to express their frustration with the anti-vax movement, and we're here for the sass that's ensued.
