I think you are right...you HAVE been through too much. I hope there are some bright spots...it's great that you can make us all laugh on ICHC. You must be made of tough stuff!

With your background, I assume you believe in prayer. I can't sign a petition, but I'll keep you in my prayers Wednesday and on up until the 14th. Isn't it amazing how their behavior gets so much better when they're behind bars? It's a total crock! Linda

Thank you for accepting my friend request! I saw you and Linda talking. (I love her!) I copied your kitten milk recipe. I wish I had it to give to the girls who are taking care of mommy kitties babies, but the vet promised me they would help them. Next time I will be prepared. Thank you!Janet

Thanks so much for the prayers, I usually make lol's at night but don't think I can tonight. I feel like he is going to be OK. He was rescued from a storm drain about 10 yrs. ago.

Thanks, I will check it out this week. Cleaning litter pans is a bummer.....but they are worth it.

Yep. Small towns in the South made for a lot of sheltered kids. I was, too. I'm sorry about your parents. Losing parents is a hard thing to accept but really hard when they are taken from you. What day do you go to the hearing? Linda

They thought you were their mama. It is so easy to bond with them when you bottle feed them, I would set my alarm every 3 hours to get up and feed them. Your Daughter sounds like my niece, she found a tiny kitten and bottle fed it. She called me to find out how to make them go to the bathroom. I explained step by step and all she could say was WHAT?

Thanks, I am going to write it down and keep it. You have got to be a very good person, I can tell by the things you say you are great with animals. It is a shame more people can't be like you.

Oh, you may be my long lost twin! I understand completely. My parents married young (17-Dad ad 18-Mom) so they lived with my grandparents until I was 3. They moved to the east end of the family farm into my great-uncle's house. It's a long story. All 6 kids got part of the family farm when my great-grandfather died. Five of the kids stayed here and farmed, but 1 great-uncle moved to Memphis with his family. I had a large extended family. Lots of eyes to keep me on the straight and narrow, and they did, too! My granddaddy was a Baptist deacon, and he took his responsibilities very seriously. I was a wimpy little kid though. I never wanted to disappoint any of them. I don't like being the only one left either. My brother passed away 2 years ago, and I really miss him. He was 7 years younger than me. I guess there's a reason for it so I have to accept it.Linda

All mine are inside also, I have 2 large ones with round tops and steps, also have 7 with covered tops. The Litter Robot sounds like something I would like to try, where did you get it? I found a growth on one of my older cats today, I am worried about him and he hasn't been eating much. I guess it's off to the vet in the morning.

I know exactly what you mean. My town is small, too. If I did something naughty when I was little, the news got home before I did! My family has been here since the 1800s. I'm the last one left.I have a few cousins scattered around, but I didn't have any children. I have two nephews who are scarce most of the time. It's home, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I had an old book that had a recipe in it that I used many times. Now I can't find the book! Yours is very familiar, except I don't remember using infant vitamins. I bough 1 container of dry formula, but it is so expensive. It was $15, and that was with a discount! Again, thanks so much for sharing. I have a question if you don't mind answering? Where do you live in Arkansas? Linda (wally01)

Hi. EDd your message about the kitten formula. I have two orphan brothers that I got last Friday. They are itty bitty and aren't ready to eat by themselves yet. I needed a formula recipe, and I couldn't find the one I've used before. Alas, my memory wouldn't cooperate either! Thanks for sharing it with luvmy8catz so that I could hijack it. You're a lifesaver! Also, thanks for accepting my friend request. Linda (wally01)

How bout sharing that recipe, I never know when I might get some more to bottle feed. My sister and I rescued two about three weeks ago, thank goodness they have little teeth.

I looked at the pic you uploaded and those babies are sooo cute, brings back memories of all I have bottle fed. The fun part is the very young ones that you have to stimulate so they can have a bowel movement ;)
