On Echopoint I just posted msgs that I wanted to get across to several Cheezfriends abt Nik, Laz, & Misty. Our weekend was one of ups & downs - will explain more later, but the shorter version is that at our extended family & friends get-together on Sat, (for our nephew, Evan, who was home on leave before being deployed as 2nd Lieut. in Army to Afghanistan), & after we had watched/heard WVU earn their way into the Final Four, as we were leaving, hubby's mom began to stand, then collapsed. Everything has quieted back down now, but lots of adreneline, road travel, & little sleep for a while.

First of all, I owe you apologies for not responding abt Brazenhead get-together. I'll e-card or e-mail you in more detail, but f when Tom said we couldn't drive over w. high water predicted to get higher, that, w. some other things going on - nephew's upcoming deployment to Afghanistan, deceased nephew's dog being found to have cancer throughout, & extended cabin fever really started to put me back into a well (as in old, deep, dark stone-type well). It took me until Thurs. of that week to even begin to start pulling out of it. I'm so sorry we weren't able to get together w. you & Steve.

I brought Lazarus (Laz) and Tippy home from the Humane Society today. First I took Nik, my GSD, in so that they could get acquainted on the kitty's turf. As you can see, Lazarus took right to Nik while Tippy kept an eye on them from up high. Tippy's tail had to be docked when the Humane Society took her in, her tail was seriously damaged . Right now, Laz is lying right next to Nik who is on his bed. Tippy has found a hiding place for a while.

I am so very, very sorry to hear about Sam. Having recently lost a kitteh myself, in somewhat similar circumstances, I know what you are going through. My heart goes out to you.

Oh my friend I just saw about Sam. I wish I knew how too help you deal with this loss. My loss is still very fresh but the one thing that has gotten me through the last few days is leaning on all my wonderful friends here. Everyone has been so kind and caring and that has helped me tremendously. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know! Hugs of comfort

Oh, honey, I am so so sorry. I know how much you love him and I know how hard this is, especially since you couldn't be with him at the very end. You did the best you could for him; you know that, and so does he. I wish I could take your pain away. (Practical me is wondering if you've considered cremation for him, given the season and the weather.) I'll be home at 6:30 tonight, your time...you want I should call or would you rather call me when you're ready? I love you, sis. *warmest healing hugs*

believe me sweetie...as soon as the pain pills kick in...I am in snoozville....I hope. sometimes they don't work. One of these days i may go to a pain clinic and see what they can give me for the days when nothing touches the pain. I don't think a nerve block will do it because it travels....my guides are working on it...but I have lived with the CFS and Fibro since the late 80's...it takes time to correct something like that...esecially when most of it is due to held emotional pain in the tissues.
