Star Wars VII is on the Cover of Vanity Fair, Take a Look Behind the Scenes
Just in time for May the 4th, Vanity Fair is taking us behind the scenes of their Star Wars: The Force Awakens shoot. Check out the stunning photography and behind the scenes footage from the shoot below:
Kylo Ren and SnowtroopersHere's the man behind the already famous mask (and crossguard saber!) as he heads through the snow to a secret base.
What do you think, better with or without the mask?
Maz Kanata, a space pirate, portrayed entirely in CGILupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata will be acheived entirely in CGI, but hopefully the motion capture process depicted here captures at least some of her loveliness.
It's unclear which side she's on (I'm betting she'll have that Han Solo heart of gold), but we do know she's got her own castle that attracts creatures from across the galaxy:
Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie
Pilot for the Resistance, Poe DameronSwoon!
Rey on a speeder, directed by JJ Abrams
The coverCan't tell if Han is playing the smug smuggler, or just the tired old man.
And finally, watch famed photographer Annie Leibovitz at work on set
