There may be something to the rumors that Assassin's Creed 3 will be set in colonial America, judging by a promotional image of the game's new hero that was allegedly leaked by a Best Buy employee.

Game Informer gave even more support to the hypothesis by posting another Revolutionary War-themed image on its website -- which was pulled down, but not before fans could take screengrabs.

The Game Informer photo shows the new assassin standing alongside George Washington, who, as we know, was the owner of a Piece of Eden.

Trading in Ezio's blades and crossbow for muskets and tomahawks? This should be interesting.
