Michael Fassbender, of X-Men and Prometheus fame, is set to co-produce and star in a movie version of Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft revealed Monday.

It's unclear which protagonist Fassbender will be playing: Desmond, the modern-day descendant, or any number of his historical relatives like Altair or Ezio.

Hopefully it's Desmond for the Irish-German actor, because Ubisoft already made a white guy play the Prince of Persia. Fassbender doesn't need to be a Racebender.
