Stars and Stripes reports that the U.S. military is recalling its pixelated grey-khaki camouflage uniforms that have been used in the Middle East since 2004. Apparently, soldiers had been complaining since 2009 that the Universal Camouflage Pattern (left) left them more conspicuous than covered. The troops are now being outfitted with more traditional greenish MultiCam duds (right) while the government tests out the effectiveness of new patterns.
