Ohai cataff! I came here about an hour or two ago to say "Ohai!" and got caught in the vortex of meme madness. Where does that time go? An alternate dimension?!?! ___ Anyway. Hi! ___ Hippyty Hoppity Easter! You are a Good Egg, looking out for all those neighbourhood kittehs with no one to take them home. You should get tax credits for that. Back in the Old Days when I had to do my taxes on a paper form I got two in the mail. I would take one and do it in pencil over and over until I got the same answer twice. Then do the second copy in pen and send it in. Never got it right. Not. Once. Now it's digital and I only have to input the raw data asked for and the software does the rest.. I even get a nice little rebate! As I have had two jobs over the last tax year it will be a little moar complex. Hence the procrastination! hehehe ____ Is MeeryCanLand having an Adopshun Frenzy? One of the Covid Consequences is so manee Kiwi's in Lockdown/Isolation are discovering a void in their lives. A Furrbaby shaped void. There's actually a shortage of adopshun ready critters in many places. There has even been a rash of t.v shows about it! It just goes to show, there's always a Silver Lining. ___ Is Ruth now out of her crate and establishing her Domain? I hope she and the others can come to a Peace Accorde. ___ My Kittehs have been enjoying both the cooler weather and the sudden infulx of scrunchy paper bags about the place. I was putting out the washing yesterday and thinking I should put that newspaper that had somehow found it's way on to my lawn, into the recycling. But I had to leave it as Zoe found it and curled up on it immediately! Today was hot but with a cooling wind so I had Tabini hang up some suncatchers out of the wind. Catch! *opens interwebb tubes, bowls sun-catchers in*

Ohai cataff! IMAGINE teh protests an such dat wood happen if teh govt sended u a bill an said "U owe us dis, kawse we say so. Pay Up!" ___ We've had a wee bit of rain to soften the ground to make weeding easier. That's always fun. Although the nights are mostly pleasant teh days are still so hot I'm grateful to get into my nice air-conditioned super-market. ___ Iz interesting dat you has a willingness for you kittehs to be outdoorsie cats. MerryCanLand has a reputation for keeping cats indoors 24/7. That would NOT go down well here. You tell people that their cats kill native birds an such and they will roll their eyes and reply that the damage done by rats and mice and far exceed the damage done by cats and that cats hunt more mice and rats and rabbits. So There. I've never had to deploy that argument. Most people seem to know better than to test my Fierce! ___ I do wish Kiwi's would be more responsible about de-sexing. Rodent control is all very well but there are a lot of strays living short, hard lives out there. Dogs as well as cats. ___ Funneh fing. Well not really. I thought it was daft. Just a year or two pre-Covid 19, Kiwilandia's last paper mill closed. Lots of jobs lost and an entire industry gone. With current importing delays, we keep running out of paper bags! And this while our govt is trying to phase out (and doing a pretty good job, too) single use plastic bags and wrappers! Paper recycling still happens here, but nowhere near the amount needed. *sigh* ___ I like the sound of paper rustling. It tells me my fur-babies are home and happy! I folded the papers you feline over lords and ladies sent into simple origami and let teh mayhem commence! I have so much vacuuming to do. ___ I am sending you some plump sun-catchers to keep things cheery until Ruth coming out party. *puts on sunglasses, pulls on oven mitts, places suncatchers into banana box, tapes over holes, places box on transporter, presses Make It So*

Ohai cataff! OOOOH Tax Time *shudder* That's just around the corner for me. *sticks head in sand* __ It sounds like Ruth has a luxury condo to live in. She might not be quick to emerge when you open the door for her! Maybe one room at a time until she and Rita learn to co-exist. ___ Spring must have truly sprung since birds are nest building. Maybe Rita and the others will get to see some dazzling mating dances on their new T.V window. ___ As the sun has returned we didn't take any precautions before opening the box of lovely chilled air that arrived. I put my bare toes right next to the box before opening it and Tabini promptly sat on my foot! So I got some but he got the best of it. Bella and Zoe sat on opposite sides of the room glaring daggers at each other and Fanta just didn't know who to pounce on first! So he stayed in the middle of the room dithering. Cats are much more entertaining than t.v! ___ Sending you some news papers I pegged onto the clothes line during the heat of the day. *feeds hot paper into fax machine, presses SEND*

Ohai cataff! Talking about wirld wide weird weather! Autumn actually appears to arrived. Monday the rain was steam before it hit the ground. That night it was like a sauna. Tuesday the rain actually hit the ground. Puddles! The night was bearable. Wednesday floods! Little ones that didn't last long but still! That night was lovely and this morning also. AHHHHHHH So good!!1 ___ I can report that, although I have not seen them, the pony lizards have arrived. There were muddy pints about the house of indeterminable origin and Bella was looking like the cat that got the cream. Were as Zoe and Fanta looked exhausted, just like they had been chasing speedy bugs. Tabini, meanwhile, just looks like his regular cheetah trim self. Every summer he turns into a speed fiend and goes hunting. There was ANOTHER dead mousie on the carpet this morning. Bella got to it before me so I didn't have to clean it up. Unlike the pile of magpie feathers that were artfully arranged on the floor the other day. I was surprised that Bella didn't grab them up. I guess she was too busy enjoying the lovely snow that has been arriving - ThanQ! - an now is distracted by her pony lizards. ___ It's good to hear that Ruth is on the mend and making her play for Queen of Absolutely Frikkin' Everything. As all sensible girls do. It seems that Kelley is sensing an opportunity too! It looks like you're in for a busy spring. ____ Furry Purries frum all at Cassa Plum. :)
