Sad News about Tookat Charlene Nathara Slimp shared a link to the group: A Solitary Witch. 2 hrs · We have just received word through Kate "Tookie"'s sister, that Tookie has been moved to hospice care as of Saturday. She is intermittantly responsive and can sometimes recognize people and sometimes cannot, and, though she was able to hold a sippy cup on her own the other day, she is not eating. The overall feeling is that she is very close to her transition now and she is in the place she needs to be to make that as easy and painless as possible. Her family is taking care of her and in contact with us and we will keep everyone updated as things progress. There are no restrictions on what you may send her at this time and we've included the address information below. Please be considerate, though, of her family, the staff, and environment she is in. Please hold her in your hearts for a smooth and painless transition. There are no words to describe Tookie, her teachings, or her role in this group, or the special care she took with each of us. She has been seriously ill and in steady decline for many years, so while this is not surprising, it is also not easy.
