Not to toot my own horn, but I told you so! The day Astro Bot launched, I wrote an article explaining why this game was going to be amazing and that everyone should play it. And guess what? It won Game of the Year at The Game Awards—and deservedly so! (And you guys said it was just an Ad masquerading as article. It hurt my feelings)
Astro bot is an absolute masterpiece—a 10/10 experience that nails everything from character design to level variety, music, and pure platforming joy. And just when we thought Team Asobi couldn't possibly give us more, they've dropped a surprise gift on us: Five brand-new levels, completely free!
PlayStation just announced that over the next five weeks, Astro Bot will receive five new levels inside the all-new Vicious Void Galaxy, each one arriving on a weekly basis. The best part? If you've got automatic updates on, the first level is already on your console!
Here's the release schedule for the upcoming levels:
📅 Feb 13 – Tick-Tock Shock
📅 Feb 20 – Thrust or Bust
📅 Feb 27 – Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
📅 Mar 6 – Hard to Bear
📅 Mar 13 – Armored Hardcore
Unlike the previous Winter Wonder update (which was more of a festive stroll), this new content will test your platforming skills with harder, more challenging levels. Plus, each one comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue, and once you've completed them, you can replay them in Time Attack mode with online leaderboards.
The only catch? You'll need to finish the main game first to access these new levels—so if you haven't done that yet, now's the time to catch up!

If you're lucky enough to own a PS5 Pro, there's even more good news—Team Asobi is rolling out a visual upgrade that enhances Astro Bot's resolution while still keeping that smooth 60 FPS performance. Because if there's one thing this game didn't need, it was an upgrade—but hey, we're not complaining!
It's honestly amazing to see Team Asobi continue to support and expand Astro Bot with free updates like this. The game was already a love letter to PlayStation history, and these new levels are just icing on an already perfect cake.
So, if you haven't played Astro Bot yet, what are you waiting for? This little robot just keeps proving why he's the best platforming mascot around (looking at you, Mario).
