Calling All Mid-2000s Emos: The Most Iconic Pon and Zi Comics You Definitely Sent to Your Crush on MySpace

I was browsing Pinterest the other day. Somehow, based on all of the images that I dare look at for more than 5 seconds, it knows that I am partial to emo and scene kid nostalgia. If I see a girl with teased hair and neon hair extensions, I can't help but look and reminisce on my youth. If I see a cute picture of Gir, there's a high chance I will go down a rabbit hole of Invader Zim fan art and screen shots of the show.

So, when Pinterest presented me with the iconic "I made you a cookie, but I eated it" Pon and Zi comic, I was immediately transported back to 2009. Suddenly, I felt like screaming along to a Bring Me the Horizon album or belting out the chorus of Paramore's "Misery Business." The flared yoga pants that I was wearing felt wrong; where did I leave my skinny jeans? My tongue started to search the inside of my mouth for the ghost of my snakebite piercings; but there was nothing. When did I become such a normie?

This was the height of creepy-cute era. That's how we got the protagonist of The Binding of Isaac, Happy Tree Friends, and of course, Pon and Zi with their soulless eyes.
