What makes a kid cool? Many of us struggled to figure this out when we were kids ourselves. From what we were able to gather, coolness seems to be the sum of how new your pants are, how aloof you can pretend to be in any situation, and how rude you can be to your peers and still get away with it. As a cool person it's also important to be extremely flakey. That way, it makes your time seem more valuable, and your appearance at any given event is thought of as a sort of blessing.
We can do the math on trying to ascertain what coolness is, but the problem is that trying to be cool is in fact one of the least cool things you can do. The harder one tries to attain coolness, the probability of coolness escaping that person's grasp grows exponentially. This is known as Fonzie's paradox, and even having heard of it makes you an unlikeable, rock-sucking dork. But that's beside the point. This one's about the dad.
There's a pretty broad spectrum of Dad behavior, like this wholesome dad who freak out when he lost his daughter's hamster or this dad who upset his vegan daughter with his bacon cooking. You want to make decisions with your kids best interest at heart, and this dad saw that as kicking the "cool girl" out of his daughter's party for some rude behavior.
