A Rwanda wildlife conservation center in Akagera National Park is proud to welcome 30 new white rhinos into the family. White rhinoceroses are the largest species of rhinoceros, and were hunted a lot historically, leading to the populations being in very low numbers. Today, thanks to conservation efforts such as this one, the rhinos are back to healthier numbers. Seeing any magnificent group of rhinos, let alone thirty of them all at once, can be a pretty moving sight if you love animals as much as we do here at I Can Has Cheezburger.
We are so happy to hear about how all of the plans in place to help this species recover are working, and we hope that there continues to be a lot of success because these rhinos are so beautiful that the whole world should be able to see them grazing peacefully! Black Rhinos are also a beautiful rhino species, and if you want to learn more about them, we encourage you to watch this video about a Black Rhino cub being born at the Chester Zoo. Ah, such a beautiful sight to behold!
