It seems that most professionals have a certain level of deceit involved. Even if you work in the most wholesome sector, you still need money and funding and you need to think of creative ways to keep it piling in.

It's also pretty often that we start jobs and realize soon enough that it was nothing like we were expecting. You may think that your job as a waiter or waitress is simply to bring food from A to B, but there is so much more to the job. Each person requires a high level of charisma and schmoozing skills if they want to succeed, at least in America where we live off of those tips.

Other jobs may seem fine and dandy until you get higher up in the field and realize how messed up it is at their core. And then there are just some careers where nobody even knows what to expect before starting because they're more unusual fields.
