When natural disasters or extreme weather events happen, it's not just the humans who are affected. We think that people forget just how much are pets are at risk as well. This one is not the first story this year that we have read about people rescuing freezing cats. In fact, there have been more stories like this than usual this year. And honestly, we don't whether that's a good thing or not. We don't know if there are more cases of cats freezing outside than usual or if it's the same number of cases as always but more people are rescuing cats and telling those stories.
We choose the second option. We want to believe that despite all of the craziness that we have seen come from humans over the past couple of years, there are still kind humans out there - people who will put themselves aside for a moment, take time out of their day, and rescue a cat that is in desperate need of help. We choose to believe in us.
