Everyone needs their momma. That's true for humans, cats and wild cats alike. When we are little, mom is the safest place to be, and getting lost is just about everyone's worst nightmare. Of course, if you're a kitten running around in the wild, losing your momma is not only scary, it's also dangerous. It means facing the dangers of the world alone. And when you're a tiny black-footed kitty, also known as the smallest wild cat in the world, then every danger is a massive danger.
It's a good thing that there are still kind humans around, willing to go out of their way to help a kitten in need. And these black-footed kittens were lucky ones, because when they lost their momma, they were found almost immediately by kind farmers who not only rescued them, gave them food and created a shelter for them, but also helped the itty bitty kittens reunite with their very worried momma.
