Whenever we come across stories about people rescuing kittens from highways, our first question is always… how did they even end up there? Most often, we don't know the answer, and we assume the best - the kitten wandered off a little too far, lost its way, and ended up in the worst place possible. Other times, it's worst. Stories of people throwing kittens out of their cars and onto the road, leaving them to fend for themselves. These stories remind us of the worst of humanity… but also the best. Because the stories that gain attention are usually the good ones - where people go out of their way to rescue the kitten from the busy road.
It's these stories that we love. It's these stories that deserve attention and should get more of it. It's stories like the one in today's video - where no one was stopping to help this kitten, except for two state troopers. And the kitten they rescued? She truly needed the help. Her leg was broken, and she was all alone. But now… she has a warm home and a loving owner who will never let anything like that happen to her.
"The kitten is a girl who has been given the name Trooper," is written in the video's description. "During her initial checkup, a vet discovered her leg was broken, though the full extent of the injury wasn't clear until later. When her new owner, Trooper Bolen, took her for a follow-up visit, it was determined that her leg would need to be amputated. But Trooper is recovering, walking, eating well, purring, and settling in with her new furry siblings — including a few dogs."
