'Fox thinks he's a cat': Couple rescues tail-less fox cub who was rejected from a fur farm and couldn't be released back into the wild, the fox feels lonely in his new home, so they pair him with a tiny rescued kitten, and the two become best friends

For some reason, people have decided that cats are solitary animals when, in reality, cats can become friends with anyone. Even a fox. 

Throughout history, somehow, cats have gained the reputation of being cold, aloof, and unfriendly animals. But in reality, nothing can be further from the truth. We, as their owners, of course, see that this is not true. We know how much our cats love us. We see it in the million different things that they do to show it to us. And still, despite all evidence to the contrary, people still believe that cats are not friendly. So, maybe we need to show other kinds of proof. Not humans, there's endless evidence of cats being friends with other animals as well. 

Cats and dogs being friends - that's a classic. People think that cats and dogs hate each other. And although that is not inherently true, what is true is that cats and dogs are very different. And still, they can be best friends. Cats can be friends with birds and have lifelong friendships with them, despite the fact that these animals are technically hunter and prey. 

It's not about the animals as a species. It's about the individuals. Cats are not unfriendly. They are simply picky about who to be friends with. You need to win them over. You need to show them that you truly want to be their friend. Maybe they won't choose you. But if they do choose you, then that cat will be loyal to you for its entire life, and you will see it in a million different ways. 

The cat in today's video, she is going to be this fox's best friend for her entire life. Because she chose him. Well, they chose each other. A rescued tail-less fox cub who was rejected from a fur farm for having no tail and a rescued tuxedo kitten who needed a new family. They found each other when they needed each other the most - two rescued scared babies who were trying to figure the world out together. And together, the world seemed a lot less scary.
