What would you do if you saw a 3 week old kitten on the side of the road?
First, cry because the poor baby is all alone. Then go for pets, because obviously this wee guy could use a hug. Then get attacked because it’s a feral little fur cobra. And finally, cry again because he doesn’t love you yet.
At Kitten Room Rescues, an animal sanctuary for rehabilitating and rehoming cats, this is their specialty (minus the crying). At the end of 2021, they started documenting on TikTok the number of cats and kittens from off the streets and rehabilitated in their personal home. At some times, it even looks like there are up to 50 cats roaming around this couple’s apartment.
Currently, Kitten Room Rescues appears to have about 15-20 kittens roaming around their home due to a recent litter that was discovered in their neighborhood. In her latest video, the girl who runs KRR, films herself luring a young kitten towards her with the promise of food.
And the kitten is NOT happy about it.
You gotta take the opportunities presented to you
This particular fireball is displaying what most people relate to as the hangries. He’s probably been roaming the streets his entire life with food scarcity, dangerous predators, and nobody to love him. Of course he’s pissed. However, that doesn’t stop our fearless heroine. The second the kitten stops moving and turns to hiss, she uses his open mouth as a target for her liquid food pack. The kitten is obviously stunned, most likely expecting to be eaten or hurt in some way. But he’s greeted with the delightful taste of fishy cat meat. Mmmm.
As he’s drawn in by the prospect of food and a little snackies, the kitten inches closer and gets a little more comfortable, unbeknownst to the giant human hand inching closer to the scruff of his neck. With viper-like speed and accuracy, the kitten is snatched up and taken home in a pet carrier.
He is NOT happy…. Yet
His mood is largely unchanged.. But it seems as though he is pretty happy about the food. Too bad the only way to change this little kitty’s mindset is to shove food into his open, hissing mouth. Little does he know, his life is about to drastically change for the better, due to the love and dedication of Kitten Room Rescue.
Meanwhile, we’re all taking notes to give to our significant others for when we’re angry or upset. Please deliver food directly to our mouths. Thanks
(PS: This is him now)
