Hey friends! Cats are known to be very independent, self-sufficient lil creatures. But, we cat people know that this is far from always the case. Our cats are fine and dandy to happily do their own thing….to an extent. As soon as their little bellies start to grumble they know exactly what to do. And exactly what to do is to sit in front of us, their humans, and meow their little heads off until we give in and refill their food bowls (which have been empty for only a few minutes).
Well, this hilarious Twitter thread reveals the humorous truth about cats. As @elle_em puts it: "My favorite thing is people who have the idea that cats are these independent loners with pitch-perfect survival instincts who literally do not need humans for anything finding out that cats are actually small dinguses who don't know how to drink water correctly." This widespread misconception is not always relevant, we personally believe that our cats choose the times to be silly dinguses on purpose. So as to not lead us, humans, on to their grand master plan of superiority and world domination. But hey, that's just us!
Oh yeah, the little void who meows in our faces every morning at 6 o clock sharp is neither independent nor a survivor, take our word for it.
"If a cat has to make a decision, it is 90% of the time going to make the worst decision possible."
Just repeating factual information here.
