Australian Firefighters Pose With Rescued Animals For 2021 Charity Calander

  • Koala - AUSTRALIAN 2021 CALENDAR FIREFIGHTERS $22

All of the proceeds from the calendar, like last year's, will go to charity of course, supporting the local wildlife. This is especially important this year, reports Good News Network, "given Australia's catastrophic wildfires in 2019 and early 2019, which resulted in the estimated loss of one billion animals from the diverse native wildlife." The fires may be over for now, but the damage is lasting, and many of the animals who survived them are unable to return to their natural habitats.

One of the beneficiaries of the calendar is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, where a team is currently working on building "Australia's first mobile wildlife hospital" which is created to be able to respond immediately to any wildlife emergency. So, if there is any year to consider buying a calendar full of hunky men and adorable animals, this year will be the one.

This years calendar is extra special, since because COVID restrictions restricted the access to animals that the participants had, the Aussie people brought their own animals to the shoots. "You will see all your favorite Australian firefighters with every variety of animal we could photograph," David Rogers, the calendar director, said. "We have got something for everyone!"

He added: "As you hang your 2021 calendars on your wall and turn to January 2021, it's a great reminder that next year is going to be a fresh start for everyone." And we think that is an absolutely awesome message to end on. You can get a hold of the calendars right here, and click here to check out last years calendars!
