Yuri On Ice!!! Finale Ends With Thunderous Applause, Hints at a Sequel

One of the biggest anime's of the year came to an end yesterday, with the curtain falling on an amazingly successful first season. The relationship between the title character Yuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov has been lauded as one of the best written and carefully handled relationships in anime, and the best male/male relationship of all time.

The show handles the concepts of sexuality and masculinity with tact, never explicitly defining the leads' relationship as a homosexual one. Choosing to show the development of a friendship rather than using forced exposition.

Now the finale ended on a bit of a terse moment after the decision of the Grand Prix, and there's a lot that still needs to be answered. Fans will have to wait for that though as we were left only with the message "See You NEXT LEVEL", giving us a lot of hope for a second season.

With the success this show has had it would be insane for their not to be.
