This adorable seven-month-old puppy was abandoned on a park bench and though the start of his story is not the greatest, the ending is as positive as it gets with the puppy getting adopted and finding its new forever home!
PEOPLE reports that Marcela Goldberg, who runs local shelter Mascotas Coyoacá in Mexico, heard about the dog and his story and drove out to find the dog tied to a bench with a note next to it. The note said the following: "It hurts a lot to leave my dog here but I made the decision of leaving him because my family used to mistreat him and it would always hurt me to see him in that condition... If you're reading this and your heart wavers, please adopt him and take good care of him. If not, please leave this note in its place. That way others can read it and adopt him. Thank you."

Goldberg told PEOPLE that though Boston was physically in good shape, he was left without food or water. The dog was very nervous around people, "trying to bite anybody approaching" including the neighbors who attempted to offer him food and water. "When I tried to approach him, he was growling and tried to bite me, but it was clear that he was just nervous and not plain aggressive," Goldberg continued.
A dog trainer helped Goldberg to untie the puppy from the bench, and it was like a miracle had happened once Boston was free, because suddenly, he was like a totally different dog! "He was extremely scared but did not try to bite again," Goldberg said. "We walked him to the car and had to struggle a bit to get him inside, but once inside he started to relax and we were able to touch him."
The dog - who was originally named Max, as written in the note - had also received the new name Boston from Goldberg. "He will no longer be called Max, as his name appears in the note, because he awaits a new life without remnants of his past life, of abuse and neglect. Now it will be Boston," she explained in a post, adding that "[h]e's a sweetheart" in another post.
"He already has a family waiting for him that has been carefully chosen," Goldberg told PEOPLE after so many people offered to take the puppy in. She added: "We are working with him in gaining confidence with several people, so his future home will not have an issue with people from outside the family. He is learning to trust and is really happy, playing with balls and behaving like a puppy should."
