Untrained Boyfriends Consistently Proving That Taking Pictures of Their Girlfriend on Vacation is Not a Priority

It’s always nice to come away from a vacation with a few photos to commemorate your good times. In the age of social media and vacation influencers, that desire has been taken to another level, requiring that there must be a carefully curated post associated with any vacation, otherwise it’s socially irrelevant.

And people really care about that.

With summer in full swing, our social media feeds are swarmed with beautifully photographed masterpieces including picturesque landscapes, aquamarine beaches, perfectly tan bombshells, and then of course, the swaying palm tree pics that make you just want a mai tai. Not everyone can sport a perfect Instagram, which is why many influencer-wannabes have trained their travel partners to become part time photographers.

Women over the ages have trained their SO’s to take photos of them in the best light, especially on vacation; whether it’s a friend, a boyfriend, or a passerby with an iPhone, it just needs to be perfect. However, that is not always the case.

More often than not, a boyfriend on vacation will take the world’s most unflattering and hideous photos of his woman. Not by choice, but simply because they are untrained in the ways.

pov: you go on vacation with your untrained boyfriend

It’s not that they intend to maliciously sabotage the post-vacation selfies and the preening and bragging rights associated with a resort vacation, men just simply don’t see the value in it. They’d rather take candid, silly photos, then waste away in front of the swim-up bar at the resort for 30 minutes trying to capture a “spontaneous” laugh that their girlfriend shares with an exotic bartender.

how i wish my bf took photos of me

it's not even funny at this point

To be honest, the curated photos are beautiful and impressive, but perhaps some men just simply want to enjoy their vacation with their woman, instead of squinting at a dark phone screen in the harsh light of every single sunset.

Maybe it’s time we actually live in the moment. Enjoy the drunken selfies, messy-haired mornings, and ice-cream-on-your-face pictures– those are the lovely memories you’ll take away with you anyways.
